Social media romanticizes self-love in a way that makes it seem perfect and ideal, which discourages women to practice self love every day. It creates a false idea that self love is a superficial process. In reality, self love is a process that takes place primarily in your mind and can be practical and messy. Self love for women can take place anywhere at any time, and here I will share how women can incorporate self love actions daily.

Implementing small actions of self-love, even on busy days, signals to our brain that we are worthy. This creates a satisfaction sensation that stimulates our creativity to find more ways to practice self-love.

1. Transform daily actions into better habits.

Self love for women could be challenging due to all the activities we have to accomplish during our day. Having time in the morning to meditate and taking a bath in a peaceful environment at night would be perfect, but in reality, our days are full of to-do lists, crazy mornings rushing to work, crazier mornings if you have kids to take to school, crazy nights if you have to put them to sleep, Etc. Therefore, instead of trying to make time for ourselves, it’s best to transform our daily activities into meaningful moments. For Example

Showering:

Take advantage of this time; that time that usually takes you to shower can be very beneficial. Use your senses to appreciate this moment when you can feel the water running through your body, and focus on the smell of your favorite shampoo. Say something nice to your body as you scrub it, etc. It becomes a positive habit that can change how you start or end your day. 

Choosing your jewelry accessories:

This is my favorite tip because I love jewelry. When I get ready, I usually take 3 to 5 minutes to accessorize my outfit in a more profound way. I use jewelry with special meaning, or I intentionally give a purpose to a piece of jewelry and use it to remind myself of powerful affirmations.

When driving:

Driving to or from work can be stressful due to traffic, but transform that moment by making it a moment for yourself by listening to and enjoying your favorite music or listening to a personal growth podcast or e-book. Instead of fighting with people on the road, focus on yourself and thank for the extra time to practice self love.


As you can see, we can find ways to transform our daily tasks and routines into more meaningful moments that help us practice self love every day.

Another great way to practice self love every day is to be aware of what we say or think to ourselves. What is the first thought that comes to your mind when you make mistakes or when you feel frustrated or disappointed? Most of the time, we say mean or hurtful things to ourselves, and just as our brain can stimulate our creativity to find pleasure, it does the same to support our bad feelings and thoughts.
Therefore, it is essential to transform those discouraging words into supportive self-love phrases to make you appreciate and love yourself instead of judging you. These are three suggestions:

“I’m Making Progress.” 

Whenever I feel frustrated because I couldn’t accomplish something and the guilt starts to arise, I tell myself, “I’m making progress.” This takes away the burden of trying to be perfect, and instead of judging myself, I understand and appreciate my effort to make progress. 

“I deserve good things.”

Sometimes, the obvious is not so obvious, so this phrase helps me remember I’m valuable, just as any other person. It’s a reminder that I, as anybody, deserve good things. Then, it encourages me to keep working for my dreams. It also works when facing situations I don’t want to tolerate. It enables me to seek my best and not settle for less. 

“I believe in myself”

This phrase is great to remind myself that I’m the most important person in your life. When I feel alone or that no one understands me, this phrase makes me look at myself and helps me connect with myself. Remember that you must be aware of what you say to yourself when something does not go how you want to replace those words for these powerful phrases.
