No matter how hard you try to stay consistent, you still don’t get the results you want? Would you like to change your life, become the best version of yourself, and finally achieve your goals? The information I share with you today will help you understand the impact of good habits on your personal development.
I have always been a very restless person who wants to do things, try, and create new experiences. I have set goals after goals, and the years went by, and I only saw how those projects remained unfinished or stayed only in my mind. I was intrigued to know how other people achieved their goals and found routines, habits, productivity tips, etc. However, even though I tried, I could never stay consistent.

If this has happened to you too, you will surely understand the frustration and disappointment I lived with. I believed myself incapable and thought that I was destined to simply be a spectator to see others shine and achieve their goals. But the little thought in my head always came back to me, that motivation to be someone better, to improve my lifestyle and achieve my dreams and goals. And again I tried, I motivated myself, I set goals, I incorporated routines and I focused on healthy habits. However, the obstacles of my day-to-day life, the lack of time, and the lack of motivation again prevented me from achieving a change in my life.
After many years of knowing myself and working on myself with the help of my therapist, today I have finally managed to understand and incorporate habits in my life that actually give me results. I have managed to stay consistent and although it is a long-term process, I am seeing results and I am being more consistent than ever.

1. Do not rely on social media
Often, when we are motivated and trying to achieve our goals, all possible obstacles and excuses appear to prevent us from achieving them. From lack of time to the fanciful ideas we have that our process to success must be perfect or that we must have a lot of time to carry out healthy routines and habits. The information shared on social networks often idealizes motivation and personal development. You can find tons of pages full of motivational quotes, and routines, all with great intentions to help and support your process.
However, this is not enough and often is not realistic. I have seen many self-care or morning routines that sound great, and I want to try them; however, being a mom and working full time leaves me little time to spend on myself. These routines usually include reading a book, taking a quiet bath, meditating, etc. I felt motivated and anxious to carry on these activities; however, every time I tried, I felt frustrated and disappointed.
2. Good Habits
The reality is that the important thing to achieve healthy habits that lead you to achieve your goals is to start little by little, transforming old habits or moments in your day into habits that actually contribute to you and lead you to achieve your goals. The good habits we should focus on are physical, mental, and emotional habits. These three types of habits should be incorporated simultaneously. These habits work better together, they are equally important. The ideal is to start by incorporating at least one of these habits. Adapting new habits to our day is possible, even if we lead a very busy life.
This post talks more in depth about habits and how they impact your goals
a. Physical Habits
Physical habits will take care of your body. Taking care of our body is very important because it is the one that is in charge of doing all those tasks and activities that fill our days, including the ones that will lead us to achieve our goals. Physical habits such as drinking water, eating healthy, and exercising will help you have more energy, and provide the necessary nutrients for your body to function properly, and facilitate the coordination of your mind and body.
b. Mental Habits
Mental habits are what will take care of your mindset and the way you manage your busy day. These habits will help you be more aware of yourself, live with less stress, and keep your mind open to change and new opportunities, thus enabling you to adapt better to complicated circumstances.
c. Affective Habits
Affective habits are important because they take care of your emotions and feelings. It is important to give importance to this aspect of our lives, because many times we forget to take care of how we feel. These types of habits can help you feel capable, increasing your self-esteem. It will help you embrace both your strengths and your weaknesses. You will take better advantage of your abilities and better face the challenges of your day.

3. Stay Consistent
These habits have a great impact if you incorporate them together. Only together can you create a balance that will strengthen your personal development process and lead you to the perseverance to achieve your goals. Together, these three types of habits will contribute to improving the function of your brain and the energy of your body, improving your mood, and managing your emotions.
In this post I talk about the benefits of these habits.
The solution to start is to incorporate habits from each category into your day. And I’m not talking about taking hours or adding more tasks to your endless to-do list. Starting easy will help you be even more consistent. The ideal is to transform moments or routines that you already carry out in your day into routines or habits more focused on your benefit. You take advantage of free time to incorporate healthier habits. You can even combine it, for example if you like to watch entertainment videos, take advantage of it to exercise while doing it. The point is to adapt our busy lifestyle to simultaneously work on ourselves and our dreams and goals.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, if you want to stay motivated and focused on achieving your goals, it is important that you focus on physical, mental, and emotional habits. In this way, you will ensure that your body, mind, and heart are aligned towards the same goal and purpose, giving strength and power to your personal development process.
